    My name is Cody Olheiser, I am a 19-year-old Business Major at Linn Benton. I have always wanted to be involved in sports throughout my entire life and that has brought me to wanting to become a sports marketer. Once I transfer to Oregon State next year, I am going to make my major sports business and management so that I can hopefully fulfill my dream of becoming a sports marketer. Since marketing is a wide category, I knew that enrolling in this marketing class would help me a lot in advancing my skills for marketing and it would help me learn a lot of helpful things that I can use for the future. One of the things that I am most interested in learning about marketing would be consumer psychology and why people have the urge to buy things that they see advertisements for. That also plays into another thing about how to make advertisements more appealing for consumers in a way that makes them have a greater urge to buy the products or become more interested in the product that you are selling to them. This is something that I want to learn about because with sports marketing a lot of the times it's the same advertisement ideas that you see, and I want to be able to find a new way of selling sports fans products in a way that they have never seen before.  Something that I have always had a passion for would be sports whether it was playing them or watching them I have always had a love for sports with the main ones being basketball and football. I grew up as a Portland Trail Blazers fan, so I've always loved watching and supporting them throughout the years and I've even gone to multiple games of theirs. Even though I love all sports my favorite by far is football and my favorite team for many years now is the Green Bay Packers and I am even going to a game of theirs here soon. Some of my favorite memories have been provided from sports not just because I love watching them but because of the people that I go to the events with like my parents because it's such a surreal experience to be able to go to these events with other people who also enjoy it. One of my favorite games that I have ever been to would be Damian Lillard's 71-point game vs the Rockets just because of how rare it is to see a performance like that.
